Actually, you did well not to miss it, this picture is superb, the "spokes" of the sun and the magnificent légé adds more flare.

Amazing how we see the sunlight. Much like a child represents.
It was amazing spectacle but I confess that my fingers have suffered. My frozen boxes are not there to warm them. Fortunately, I wear mittens. I urge all those wishing to brave -10 °

but these photos are really gorgeous
Of course, I develop my RAW files in Lightroom (contrast, white balance, ...) but the sun is thus quite clear when taken from the front. Now we need a serious shutter speed so as not to miss
In this case, in my view exif available on each photo, 1/8000e.
